Designed for the Morning, Too.
A purpose-designed morning appliance intended to guide the mandible toward the dentist-recorded baseline occlusal position after overnight advancement.
Minimal Buccal & Lingual Extension
Minimal unnecessary soft-tissue-direction extension helps reduce appliance bulk while preserving the coverage needed for retention, stability and occlusal guidance.
Reduced Posterior Extension
Posterior coverage terminates approximately at the mid-first-molar level, reducing unnecessary posterior material while maintaining functional occlusal coverage.
Low-Profile Occlusal Registration
Designed to minimize unnecessary vertical opening while guiding the mandible toward the dentist-recorded baseline occlusal position.
Appliance Protection
20 Years of Appliance Protection
Protection that extends beyond the first appliance.
Master Sleep 20™ is designed as a long-term appliance protection program, not simply a warranty on a single oral appliance.
Each enrolled Master Sleep 20™ patient receives one original protection period of up to twenty years.
The protection period begins from the program's recorded start date and continues until the stated protection expiration date, subject to eligibility and program terms.
If an eligible replacement appliance is provided during that period, the replacement remains protected under the same original protection period.
A replacement does not restart a new 20-year term.
For example, if an eligible replacement is provided in Year 8, the replacement remains covered through the remaining period of the original 20-year protection term rather than beginning another twenty years.
Eligible Normal-Wear Replacement
Oral appliances naturally change with long-term use.
A professionally prescribed oral appliance is used repeatedly during sleep and may experience gradual material wear and functional aging over time.
Master Sleep 20™ provides protection when normal functional wear or natural appliance aging reaches a reasonable replacement threshold.
Examples may include eligible deterioration affecting:
- appliance fit
- retention
- structural integrity
- functional performance
- advancement components
- other clinically relevant appliance characteristics
Normal cosmetic aging alone does not necessarily mean an appliance requires replacement.
Eligibility is determined based on the condition of the appliance and the treating dentist's evaluation.
When normal wear reaches an eligible replacement threshold, appliance replacement protection may apply.
Covered Product Failure
Protection for eligible product-related problems.
If a Master Sleep 20™ appliance experiences an eligible covered manufacturing, material, mechanism or structural failure during intended use, the appliance may qualify for replacement protection.
Examples may include eligible issues involving:
- appliance material
- structural integrity
- advancement mechanism
- manufacturing-related defects
- other covered functional failures
Eligibility depends on the nature of the problem and the applicable Master Sleep 20™ Protection Terms.
Damage resulting from misuse, unauthorized modification or other excluded circumstances may not qualify as a covered product failure.
One No-Fault Replacement
Because unexpected things can happen.
Each original Master Sleep 20™ protection period includes one eligible No-Fault Replacement.
This protection is intended for a qualifying unexpected event that is not classified as normal wear or a covered product failure.
Depending on the circumstances and current program terms, examples may include:
- accidental loss
- accidental damage
- travel-related loss
- pet-related damage
- another eligible accidental event
One No-Fault Replacement is available during the original protection period.
Once the included No-Fault Replacement has been used, it is considered consumed for that original protection period.
Additional accidental-loss or accidental-damage events are not automatically included as another No-Fault Replacement.
What If the Patient's Teeth or Mouth Change?
The appliance is made to the patient's dental condition at the time of treatment.
Over many years, a patient's dental or oral condition may change.
Examples may include:
- a new crown
- a new bridge
- a new implant restoration
- tooth movement
- orthodontic treatment
- periodontal or gingival changes
- other changes affecting appliance fit
These situations are different from normal appliance wear or product failure because the appliance itself may still be functioning correctly while the patient's dental condition has changed.
Additional protection may be available for certain eligible dental or oral changes.
The patient should contact the treating dentist for evaluation.
The dentist will determine whether oral appliance therapy remains clinically appropriate and, when necessary, coordinate the next step with Master Sleep.
Your Dentist Remains at the Center of Your Care
Master Sleep 20™ does not replace the treating dentist.
If a patient experiences:
- appliance wear
- appliance damage
- appliance loss
- poor fit
- bite concerns
- dental treatment
- tooth movement
- oral-condition changes
- another possible replacement need
the first step is:
Contact Your Treating Dentist.
The treating dentist evaluates the clinical situation and determines the appropriate next step.
When replacement coordination is needed, the dentist communicates with Master Sleep on the patient's behalf.
Master Sleep supports the appliance and protection program while the dentist remains responsible for the patient's clinical care.
Replacement May Require Updated Records
Because a patient's mouth can change over time, an eligible replacement may require updated clinical records before a new appliance can be manufactured.
Depending on the situation, the treating dentist may determine that updated records are needed, including:
- intraoral scans or impressions
- bite records
- clinical examination
- updated prescription information
- other relevant dental records
This helps ensure that a replacement appliance is manufactured according to the patient's current dental condition and the dentist's current prescription.
Appliance Protection and Dental Professional Services Are Different
Master Sleep 20™ Appliance Protection applies to the eligible appliance replacement benefit under the program.
It does not automatically include professional clinical services provided by the treating dental practice.
A dentist may separately provide and charge for services such as:
- examination
- consultation
- intraoral scanning or impressions
- bite registration
- appliance fitting
- titration
- adjustment
- follow-up appointments
- other professional dental services
Dental professional services are determined by the treating practice and may involve separate fees.
This distinction is important because Master Sleep 20™ protects the appliance program while the treating dentist continues to provide professional patient care.
What the 20-Year Protection Does Not Mean
To keep the program clear, Master Sleep 20™ should not be interpreted as:
Not a promise that one appliance will last twenty years. Oral appliances may naturally wear, age or require replacement over time.
Not unlimited replacement for any reason. Replacement eligibility depends on the reason for replacement and the applicable program terms.
Not twenty years of free dental treatment. Dentist professional services are separate from the appliance protection benefit.
Not a new twenty-year term after every replacement. All eligible replacements remain within the original protection period.
Not automatic replacement when the clinical treatment plan has materially changed. If oral appliance therapy is no longer clinically appropriate, or if a substantially different treatment or prescription is required, the situation may fall outside the standard protection program.
Conditions That May Not Be Covered
Certain situations may fall outside Master Sleep 20™ Appliance Protection.
Examples may include, subject to final program terms:
- intentional misuse
- unauthorized alteration or repair
- damage caused by unapproved heat, chemicals or cleaning methods
- fraudulent or misleading claims
- transfer of protection to another individual
- circumstances in which oral appliance therapy is no longer clinically appropriate
- major clinical changes requiring a materially different treatment plan
- other exclusions identified in the current Protection Terms
Eligibility is determined according to the applicable Master Sleep 20™ Protection Terms and the clinical information provided by the treating dentist.
One Original Protection Period
One enrollment. One original protection period. Up to twenty years.
Eligible replacement appliances remain within the original Master Sleep 20™ protection period. Replacing an appliance does not extend or restart the original protection expiration date.
